Flaming Chili Recipe

Ingredients:

GROUP 1
3 TBS vegetable oil
3 1/2# tri tip roast chili grind or 1/4" cubed if you want to make the effort. Remove as much fat as possible.
1 TBS onion powder
1/2 TSP salt
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 can El Pato tomato sauce
1 14 oz can chicken broth

GROUP 2
9 TBS chili powder
1 TBS cumin
1 TSP granulated garlic
1 TBS garlic pureed
1 TSP salt
1 TSP MSG
1 TSP dark brown sugar

GROUP 3
2 TSP chili powder
1 TBS cumin
1/2 TSP garlic powder
1 TSP salt
1/4 TSP black pepper 1/8 TSP brown sugar

GROUP 4
adjust spices to tase with Tabasco Habanero sauce
1/2 TSP cumin
salt to taste
1 TSP lime juice
pinch garlic powder

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat vegetable oil, cook beef until redness is gone. Repeat for remainder of meat. Drain well and add to cooking pot.
  2. Add remaining ingredients in group one and simmer for 1 hour .
  3. Add ingredients in group 2 and simmer for an additional 40 minutes. Add chicken broth if needed.
  4. Add ingredients in group 3 and simmer 20 minutes.
  5. Add ingredients in group 4 and simmer 15 minutes.
  6. Enjoy some of the best chili you will ever taste!
